Get Beautiful Eyelashes With An Eyelash Growth Solution

By Connie Sears

Most women do not leave home without carefully applying their make-up. They may use a little or a lot, or highlight only certain features of their face. The eyes, however, are often thought of as an area that is fun to accentuate. Some women have naturally pretty eyes and eyelashes, while others may need to enhance their eyelashes for one reason or another. If the eyelashes have become thinner over time, an eyelash growth solution may be useful.

Various kinds of beauty products are particularly popular, and some even help to grow eyelashes. The loss of many eyelashes, or the absence of eyelashes, can be due to certain medical conditions that can be overcome by the use of products. No one really likes to have eyes that lack such an important feature.

A health professional may be able to suggest a good product to use to help the eyelashes to grow back, or to grow thicker, but you may need to be prepared for a few side-effects. Certain products may cause the eyes to be red and itchy. It may also be wise to select a product that has been recognized by certain trustworthy authorities, such as the FDA, or U. S. Food and Drug Administration. Within about four weeks you should notice a difference.

If you like a more natural option, there are also a number of things that you can do. Whichever remedy you decide to use, however, it is good practice to completely remove all eye make-up at night, and before the application of any product. A clean eye area will more easily absorb oils that could help eyelashes to grow.

By ensuring that you are taking in sufficient vitamins is another good way to get your eyelashes to grow longer and thicker. Vitamins A, B, D and E are all known to enhance the condition of hair follicles. You can eat foods that contain these vitamins, or you can apply a Vitamin E oil to the eye area. This can be done at night once you have taken off your make-up.

Castor oil and olive oil is known to help as well. They can be brushed or rubbed onto the eye each night to assist eyelashes to grow, and to remove dirt that could cause problems. The oils can be washed off again in the morning.

If these oils are uncomfortable for any reason, you could also try using petroleum jelly. Its natural properties moisturize the eyelids and help eyelashes to grow. When applied, it should cover the base of the lashes, as well as the lashes themselves. People have even noticed and instant improvement from using petroleum jelly, but keep using it for at least two weeks before deciding if it is working.

Although you don't want your eyelashes shorter, by trimming them you actually stimulate their growth. Try to just snip off a tiny bit at the very ends; there is no need to cut them off completely. Even though many people find home remedies to be quite effective, there are times when a prescription eyelash growth solution is required.
